Solution blow spinning
Solution blow spinning has been in use for over 10 years for a preparation of polymeric nanofibers and nonwoven fibrous membranes. SBS technique is optimized for many polymers, mostly synthetic ones. In the project BIOCelMat this technique is being used for the first time for processing of cellulose acetate, chitosan and their composite.
SBS device which is used in project BIOCelMat is developed at UC3M (Madrid, Spain) Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Chemical Engineering, Group of Polymer composite materials and Interphases (Supervisor Prof. Dr. Javier Gonzalez Benito).
